Quality is part of our DNA. It is systematically taken into account, in line with our customers' strict quality requirements, right from the design phase of our products. This approach continues at every stage of manufacturing, assembly and inspection.
Our high level of quality is guaranteed by our highly qualified quality engineers. They are responsible for maintaining this level in our production and assembly facilities. To this end, they put in place the appropriate measuring equipment to ensure the quality of our products.
Metrology defines the principles and methods used to guarantee and maintain the reliability of control measurements. Combined with measurement uncertainty, it makes it possible to assess the risk involved in making a result-based decision. Metrology thus becomes a strategic issue for ensuring the consistency and reliability of measurements, and thus guaranteeing an optimum level of quality in line with the high standards demanded by our customers.
In all, MPS has around 11,000 tools for measuring parts, 2,000 to 3,000 of which are used on a daily basis. These devices must be checked every year using a device connected to the national standard.
The engineers in our Quality Engineering department are responsible for defining the control ranges for each product we develop. They determine the dimensions to be measured and the tools to be used to ensure that each product conforms to the required quality specifications. In general, there are 4 to 5 critical dimensions to be measured for each product.
Our quality engineers develop the tools needed to measure the dimensions themselves. They then supply these tools to production and ensure that they are returned in good condition. This close collaboration between the quality department and production ensures that every product is manufactured to the highest quality standards.
